Every time I see a beautiful plus-size girl walking down the street in a skirt or a dress in a hot summer day the first thought that goes through my mind is always "what's underneath?"
"Chub Rub" is one of the great unspoken issues for dozens and dozens of women who suffer from inner-thigh chafing when they try to wear dresses or skirts.

Each has its own solution: bike shorts, lotions, creams, talcum powder, deodorant or even avoiding skirts and dresses entirely (those horreur!) and let me tell you, I've tried them all.
But nothing has excited me very much as a new product that has hit the market this summer called Bandelettes.
Bandelettes look like the lace at the top of a stockings – in other words, they are sexy as hell. For someone who has spent the past few summers in cotton shorts bike this is something of a revelation.
I recently bought two pairs, one black and one in the nude. I wore them religiously for two weeks very hot and muggy in New York, and I have come to the conclusion that they are the closest thing to the perfect cure for thigh rubbing as you can get right now.

Have a breezier options on the market: in addition to a strip of lace you don't have an extra layer of sweat through. At US $ 15 a pair are relatively cheap and international shipping costs are negligible (only US $ 3 in Australia). In the United Kingdom are also available from Etsy. From experience I can tell you that customer service is A +. The size chart is infallible: measure where you want them to sit. That is the size. If the measurement falls in the middle of the size (like mine) then cut down. You can wash in the sink, and they will be dry and ready to wear again within half an hour.
There is a strip of silicone along the edges both top and bottom of each band that helps them stay in place without slipping and sliding. I have to admit that after two weeks of continuous wear the sensitive skin between my thighs was starting to react a bit of silicone, but it was a small price to pay for a whole fortnight where I didn't have to choose between one wears a second layer in a baking hot day, or ducking into the bathroom every hour to reapply lotion.
And look, I like the look of them. Bike shorts are all very well and good, but they are definitely the pants Grandma in the world-Chub rub, and often are too long to be worn with some skirts and dresses.
Almost want to show Bandelettes. A cheeky peek of lace beneath the hem of a skirt ... is there anything sexier?
Do you suffer from inner thigh chafing? What's your magic cure?
