The key influences style this season

Forget the Great Gatsby, cinematic style inspiration this summer comes courtesy of Sofia Bling Ring. Both films feature a ton of sparkles, but delivers high-end Trash version of The Bling Ring 20s tasteful look hands down. How to get the predatory look squealing? Go to diamond encrusted heels and ostentatious fake jewelry and worn with cardis high school and Plaid shirts. But note: the subtle styling sunglasses is the key to its appearance. The rule is oversized, with his arms tucked over, then under hair, just like a hair clip.

Ian BrownIan Brown: deluxe sportswear.

We are not suggesting that men should watch the documentary made by Shane Meadows and stone digging their 1989 Baggy Chic. Way too literal, not to mention frightening on most men North of 40 years. Rather, wholesale embrace of Brown deluxe side of sportswear, which makes her look "Resurrection" is the lesson here. Is a reminder for men and women that adults can do 90s sporty, providing them with updating their image. Air Max leather trousers for women and tailored leather shirts by Christopher Shannon for guys – that kind of thing. Probably best to keep the focus on the money-printing t-shirts, too.

The editor of British Vogue is not obliged to make a public service announcement tailoring, but that's pretty much what he did at the festival of Vogue on weekends. Her outfit was a silent shoutout to adult women who want to make a summer look-less pantyhose but more modestly. It went: simple black top, skirt optimistically colorful and a pair of semi-obligatory-if-you-work-so white shoes. The shoes already have an opinion, that kind of top you already in your closet, but the skirt is a gift in terms of adult summer dressing.

Diane KrugerDiane Kruger: flawless but never boring. Photo: David Livingston/Getty Images

Kruger might be enough chocolate-box, but his style adds edge. She is always in experimentation – once wearing a skirt over a dress at the Berlin Film Festival – and sometimes mistaken. The pirate look at Coachella is a case in point. For a masterclass in the diaphragm, though, she is a reference to go this season. A full skirt more Rochas cropped blouse was a winner last month, while advertising The Host route last month gave Kruger-watchers with clothes almost daily. A favorite was a white Albino red shirt cropped leather and high-waisted Vanessa Bruno skirt that seemed flawless but never boring. A bit like Kruger itself.

Kiernan ShipkaKiernan Shipka: coming into his own. Photo: Gilbert Carrasquillo/FilmMagic

They say that you should dress your age but Kiernan Shipka Sally Draper aka – Mad Men – proving that wearing clothes more suited to your great looks pretty adorable to 13. While Sally is growing in an awful teen in Mad Men – and wears some great knitting while she's at it – Kiernan is coming into his own. On the red carpet last week, she wore a red and black dress by Dior-esque 50s. January Jones, meanwhile, turned up in a leather leggings and denim jacket, causing some fashion Blog to speculate he had swapped clothes. Kiernan impressed once again at a dinner of Chanel, wearing tweed while chatting about Justin Bieber. Oh to be 13 and a superstar in the making ...

Sulley in Monsters, IncSulley in Monsters, Inc.: trend with its fuzzy texture. Photo: Moviestore Collection/Rex Feat

It's not often that a hairy Monster makes it to a list of fashion. But Sulley is no ordinary Monster. As you well know any viewer of Monsters Inc of 2001, he is Chief scarer. Monsters University, the prequel, it comes to screens this July and tells the story of getting his qualifications Sulley. Set in Pixar's version of an Ivy League school, with shots of students, is the button for the varsity. It is a look that has already seen on Taylor Swift and Jourdan Dunn, but take Pixar adds extra cuteness--and one-eyed gay. Dressed in Sulley – a sort of furry Turquoise dress, if you will – that is also right with next season's predilection for the fuzzy texture. Astride two seasons? That is a monster.

Solange KnowlesSolange Knowles: stylish, comfortable and cool. Photo: David X Prutting/BFAnyc.com/Rex features

If Beyonce is spending his summer throwing sand about on a tropical beach for H M &, her sister is dressing only savings festival. Some at Coachella – Victoria Hervey, means you – went for a sort of hippie look synthetic version of Woodstock. Solange, on the other hand, looked stylish, comfortable and cool. A J Crew midi-skirt with a pink print plus tank tropical heat and blocky heel sandal was a sober look. It was also one that, unlike Hervey, want to work away from a field in the Californian desert and no pal Earl Sweatshirt. Buy your version and wear all summer long.

No matter what your opinion of Antonio Berardi dress "side-butt" – If, indeed, you could bear to form one after the avalanche of Twitter that sparked sheer dress – and back has quickly turn into one thing. Elizabeth Saltzman, fashion designer, calls the look "bold in a way not-bold" and "threatening". We think that the cut is likely to become the Alpha part of the body to this flash. But for those of us who aren't involved in the red carpet exaggeration there is a subliminal message for the summer style: the pure Panel. Still attention seeking discreet at the same time. But aim for sheer sleeves rather than flank a veiled.
